This week’s Look of The Week is my every day go-to look. It is super simple to create and it is very feminine. Better still, it is perfect for us glasses-wearing gals as it is very subtle. I hope you love it as much as I do! xx
As always start with a primed surface. Using a big fluffy blending brush apply a transition shade to the crease area. My favourite for this look is MAC’s Soft Brown. Then take a very soft pink shade and apply this to the lid area. I usually use my finger for this because it doesn’t need to be precise. Just dab it across the lid and blend well with the transition. Then, taking your black liner of choice, line your upper lashes. I always include a substantial flick to doll it up a bit, but it works just as well without the flick.
When this is all done move on to the face. I applied my concealer under my eyes and then I applied my foundation. When I wear my glasses I like to do some contouring and highlighting. I used MAC’s Prep and Prime Highlighter in Rose, applying it to the centre of my forehead, down my nose, my cupid’s bow, along my upper jaw, and along my cheekbones. I then use a setting powder to set my under eye concealer and foundation/highlighter. I then take my bronzer and using a big face brush I sweep it from my forehead down across my cheekbones. I then use a big eye shadow blending brush and I sculpt out my cheekbones. Have a look at my post on highlighting and contouring for more specific details. I then applied my blusher, I chose a warm peach colour.
Going back to the eyes, finish off by sculpting the brows and adding lashings of mascara.
One of the best things about this look is that you can pretty much pick whatever shade of lipstick you want. Pair it with a bright pink, a bold red, or a pretty nude and you’re set. I am wearing Charlotte Tilbury’s Very Victoria matte lipstick.
Then you’re finished. It’s as simple as that. This is a lovely look that is perfect for everyday wear.
