Get Naked……

As the title of this post suggests, I think you should get Naked, that is Urban Decay’s Naked Palette, minds out of the gutter people! Urban Decay, following on from the huge success of its first Naked palette has followed up with another two, and judging by the success of the most recent Naked, I think we’ll be seeing many more in the future.

The Naked palettes are fantastic for everyone. At €44 each they can be considered expensive, but in each palette you get twelve shadows, and they pay for themselves really (she tells herself reassuringly). The palettes are all different, but equally beautiful.

The first one includes beautiful golds, some with a shimmer and some with a glitter. It also has two fantastic blue shades; one is a dark navy and the other a gun-metal colour.

The second Naked palette is not too different from the first; emphasizing shimmer browns and coppers. This one however abandons the blues in favour of a dark chocolate-brown and a black. As you can see from the picture of my used and abused palette, I have broken two shadows. I devastatingly dropped this palette (and have since been super careful) so it’s important to remember to be gentle with them, the palette itself is durable but the shadows are delicate.

Naked 2

The third palette launched last Christmas. This palette includes pink shadows, and copper and bronze shadows. These are softer in colour but still have that beautiful shimmer effect. Although it is hard to pick a favourite among the three, this one may just be slightly ahead in my books.

Naked 3

You by no means need all three palettes. Each palette has a base/highlighter colour as well as a dark definition colour which I often use as liner. With one palette you’re set for every occasion as you can go extremely smokey and glamorous or really pretty and simple. There are so many combination options in each palette. You just have to decide which tones best suit your colouring.

The Naked range has become so popular that Urban Decay are extending it. They now have a full face range with foundation, powder, and blusher, as well as some fabulous lip glosses. For those who don’t want/need a palette with twelve colors there is the Naked basics palette which has six of the most perfect nude shadows.

I hope Urban Decay continue to introduce new Naked palettes because they seem to be getting better and better. I was very excited when I heard Naked 3 was to launch in time for Christmas 2013, but I ended up waiting weeks for it to come back in stock, such was its popularity! Keep ’em coming UD!

Oooh! I am totally obsessed with urban decay! Could you please do a blog on the electric palette? 🙂 I think that one is going to be my next favourite!
